
Ford released details of its electrification strategy in 2010. It will see five new-technology vehicles on the road in North America and Europe by 2013.

2010: Commercial activity
- Transit Connect Electric light commercial launched in North America
2011: Focus on pure EVs
- Focus Electric on North American market at CES in January
- Transit Connect Electric released in Europe later in the year
2012: Hybrid family
- Focus Electric launched in Europe
- Ford launches a gaggle of hybrid vehicles in North America – likely to include a hybrid mid-size saloon, hybrid SUV and plug-in hybrid Chevy Volt competitor
2013: Hybrids in Europe
- The three new Ford hybrids launch in Europe, probably at the IAA Frankfurt motor show
